Neil LaBute

Directed 2006’s The Wicker Man and 2008’s Lakeview Terrace. He also published the award-winning play Together with Men. He went to Bringham Young University or college where he created plays that forced the envelope of that which was acceptable in the religiously traditional college. His acclaimed 2002 play The Mercy Chair was among the 1st theater productions to research the terrorist episodes of Sept 11, 2001. His mom was a medical center receptionist and his dad was a pickup truck drivers. His terse, wordy dialogue was in comparison to that of world-renowned playwright David Mamet.
