Nedo Nadi

Italian fencer who earned six Olympic precious metal medals, including 1 in 1912 and five in 1920. He previously his initial fencing lesson at age seven using a foil sword in his father’s gymnasium. He kept the record for some silver medals at an individual Olympics with five in 1920, until 1972 when Tag Spitz gained seven. His dad Giuseppe Nadi was a well-known Italian fencing professional. He competed within the 1912 Olympics where in fact the renowned Jim Thorpe gained the decathlon and pentathlon.
