He appeared in more than 80 movies, including West Aspect Tale, and made more than 100 TV performances on shows like the Honeymooners. He made an appearance in the Three Stooges film, Nutty But Great and You Nazty Spy! He proved helpful in Vaudeville and initial made an appearance on Broadway in 1931 within a creation of Counselor-at-Law. He was often typecast as anxious, meek, or nerdy personas because of his thick eyeglasses and nasally NY accent. He wedded celebrity Kitty McHugh in 1935. His nearby neighbor was Three Stooges professional Moe Howard.
