Journalist for Harper’s Bazaar journal who also rose to popularity while the Miss USA pageant champion in 2012. She assumed the name pursuing Olivia Culpo’s earning of Miss Universe. She experienced previously become Miss Maryland of 2012. She graduated from UCLA with honors and her level in political technology. She captained the volleyball group there, and was a two-time All-American. She founded the Meriweather Basis nonprofit corporation to serve the impoverished in Africa in 2007. She also spent twelve months, in 2008, playing professional volleyball in Puerto Rico’s Todas las Indias de Mayaguez. Her dad Delano and mom Nomvimbi are both originally of South African descent. Her dad was Duke University’s 1st African-American medical college student. She was a judge for the 2015 Miss USA pageant, that was eventually received by Olivia Jordan.
