After winning several Memphis in-may World Barbecue Tournament titles, this popular chef was both a contestant and, later on, a judge on the truth television culinary competition BBQ Pitmasters. He also received several Big Pig Jig barbecue contests. He participated in his 1st barbecue competition in 1996, earning the complete hog and pork ribs occasions in the Atlanta, Georgia cooking food contest. He released his 1st cookbook, Smokin’ with Myron Mixon, in 2011. Another culinary manual, Everyday Barbecue: Aware of America’s Preferred Pitmaster, followed 2 yrs later. He was created in Vienna, Georgia, to Jack port and Gaye Mixon (who developed a favorite barbecue sauce formula). He later on wedded Faye Mixon. Fellow superstar chef Paula Deen published the intro to Mixon’s 1st cookbook.
