Morris Peterson

Former shooting safeguard/small ahead who helped lead the Michigan Condition Spartans for an NCAA Tournament in 2000, after that continued to have 12-12 months NBA career using the Toronto Raptors, New Orleans Hornets and Oklahoma Town Thunder. He was an NBA All-Rookie First Group selection using the Raptors in 2001. He found Michigan Condition out of Flint Northwestern SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL in 1995. His older 12 months at Michigan Condition, 1999-2000, he was called Big Ten Participant of the entire year and was a Consensus Second Group All-American. In January 2009, his #42 shirt was retired in Michigan State’s Breslin Middle. His cousin Jonathan Bender also performed in the NBA for the Indiana Pacers and NY Knicks. He and fellow Flint indigenous Mateen Cleaves had been the leaders from the Spartans’ 2000 NCAA Tournament group. Their Flint origins helped make them the nickname “The Flint-stones.”
