Mohammad-Reza Shajarian

Considered among the best Persian traditional vocalists and composers of his generation, he was awarded UNESCO’s Mozart Medal (in 2006) and Picasso Award (in 1999). Aside from his are a solo musician, he performed using the Ava Outfit, the Shahnaz Outfit, and the Experts of Persian Music. He began performing when he was simply five years of age and, at age nineteen, produced his national traditional music debut on Iran’s Radio Khorasan place. Apart from his skill in the Persian Dastgah vocal music genre, Shajarian became experienced in the artwork of Persian calligraphy and done behalf of many humanitarian causes. His kid, Homayoun Shajarian, and his little girl, Mozhgan Shajarian, are among his many musical collaborators. He and Kayhan Kalhor are both popular Persian classical music artists.
