Nicknamed “The Kosher Butcher” because of his Jewish heritage, he was the WBA Light Heavyweight Champ from Sept, 1978 to Apr, 1979. He transformed professional in 1976 and gained 22 consecutive battles, which was unlawful because of him not getting the legal age group to enter professional boxing. He was inducted in to the NJ Boxing Hall of Popularity. His mom was Jewish and his dad was Italian. He and Bobby Czyz are two of New Jersey’s most well-known boxers.
