Mercer Mayer


An American children’s book author and illustrator, he’s most widely known for his Small Critter and Small Monster series for beginning readers. His most well-known individual titles consist of There’s a Headache in My Wardrobe and EASILY Experienced a Gorilla. During his research in the Honolulu Museum of Artwork, he made a decision to become an illustrator. In 1964, he started training in the Artwork Students Little league of NY. He published a lot more than 300 children’s books in every and in addition illustrated game titles by Jan Wahl, Jay Williams, and additional writers. He was created in Small Rock, Arkansas. He previously three children along with his second wife, Jo Mayer. Howard Pyle, given birth to almost a century just before Mayer, was another prominent children’s publication writer and illustrator.
