Melville Shavelson

Former President from the Writer’s Guild who was simply nominated for the Academy Award for Best First Screenplay twice: once for Houseboat, as well as the various other for The Seven Small Foys. He was created in NEW YORK. He wrote, created, and co-directed the 1979 ABC miniseries “Ike” about Dwight D. Eisenhower’s involvement in World Battle II. He wedded wife Ruth in 2001.
