Mel Torme

Broadly popular 20th century singer referred to as The Velvet Fog. He’s best kept in mind for co-writing The Xmas Music or Chestnuts Roasting with an Open up Open fire with Bob Wells. He sang using the Coon-Sanders Orchestra at age four and was broadly hailed as a kid prodigy. He also acted in radio serials The Love of Helen Trent and Jack port Armstrong, the All-American Boy from 1933 until 1941. He was the young idol of his era after he made an appearance in VERY GOOD NEWS, the 1947 film musical. He was wedded many times: 1st to Chocolate Toxton on Feb 11, 1949, after that Arlene Kilometers on Oct 31, 1956, after that Janette Scott on, may 20, 1966, and lastly to Ali Severson on Oct 30, 1984. His 1st published music Lament to Like was popular for Harry Wayne.
