May Miller

African-American poet and playwright from the Harlem Renaissance. Her poetry series include Dirt of Uncertain Trip as well as the Ransomed Wait around; her dramas consist of Stragglers in the Dust and Claws and Thorns. She went to Howard School, American School, and Columbia School. Her play The Bog Instruction was released in 1925. She was among five children blessed to Kelly and Anna Might Miller. She inspired the task of fellow African-American poet Rita Dove.
