May Allison


Silent film era actress most widely known for starring in well-known romances contrary Harold Lockwood. Her most widely known films are the Gamble and THE HIGHER Glory. She produced her film debut in 1915 using a Fool THERE IS. Later that season, she made an appearance with Harold Lockwood within the love film David Harum. She and Harold Lockwood had been among the first onscreen power lovers, making 25 movies together. Her profession dropped after his loss of life in 1918. She was wedded four moments. Her last relationship was to Adam R. Quick, creator of Photoplay mag. She produced her last appearance within the 1927 film, CALLING Female, starring Madge Bellamy.

She was popularly paired in twenty films with Harold Lockwood at Mutual and Metro, beginning in 1915 and ending with Lockwood's untimely death from Spanish influenza in 1918. Allison's career subsequently declined and she retired from acting in 1927.
