A turn-of-the-century American novelist, poet, and short-story article writer, he is most widely known for WITHIN THE High Hillsides (poems) as well as the Interpreter’s Home (book). His various other works are the Mullah of Miasmia (play) plus they Could Not Rest (short tale collection). After graduating from Princeton School, he transferred to Wyoming, where he set up and controlled two ranches. He was mixed up in founding from the Grand Teton Country wide Park. He wedded novelist Katherine Newlin Burt. The couple’s kid, Nathaniel, also became an writer. He and Gordon Merrick both went to Princeton University.
