Maurizio Margaglio

During the period of his ice dancing career, this Italian skater received Italian national, European, and World championships and received a bronze medal in the 2002 Winter Olympics. From 1994 until 2006, he was partnered with fellow Italian snow dancer Barbara Fusar-Poli. He started snow skating when he was a decade old and continued to win three Italian Junior Snow Dance Championships. After retiring from competitive snow dancing, he started building and training Finland’s Olympic snow dancing group. Between 2007 and 2012, he and his wife Jyrina welcomed sons called Gabriel, Sebastian, and Julian. He and fellow globe champ skater Michelle Kwan had been both bronze medalists in the 2002 Sodium Lake Town Olympics.
