Legendary hammer thrower who competed at 4 Olympic Games, successful precious metal in 1912. He was also an associate of the brand new York City Law enforcement Division, where he was a two-time receiver of the Medal of Valor. He was created in Ireland but relocated to america, where he discovered success like a hammer thrower in the fairly late age group of 27. He received the metallic medal in the 1924 Olympics when he was 47 years of age, producing him the oldest person ever to medal inside a monitor and field event at an Olympic Video games. He was among eleven children created to his parents. He and Lance Offer are both Olympic medalists in hammer tossing.
