Pioneer in kickboxing for heavyweight fighters in K-1, a department where he won Japan Grand Prix Championships in 1997 and 1998. Like a MMA fighter, he under no circumstances achieved much achievement having a 1-8-1 total record. He produced his debut in kickboxing prior to MMA in 1990 and was victorious over Don Nakaya Nielsen in his 1st match. He was defeated in his 1st MMA battle in 2000 by Tag Coleman. He also competed in a specialist karate battle in 1991 and was victorious over Willie Williams. He was created in Suita, Osaka, Japan. He was defeated by Quinton Jackson to earn his 7th lack of his MMA profession.
