Mary Quinn Sullivan

Pioneering modern art collector who became among the founding trustees from the Museum of Contemporary Art. She was employed in 1901 as a skill instructor in the Queens, NY, public school program. She became close friends with Lillie Plummer Bliss and Abby Aldrich Rockefeller through the 1920s, two girls who have been also art customers. Her dad was Thomas F. Quinn and her mom was Anne E. Gleason Quinn. In 1917, she wedded Cornelius J. Sullivan. She researched under designer Roger Fry in the Slade College of ARTWORK in London in 1910.
