Remembered best because the one-time mistress of thirty-fifth USA President John F. Kennedy, this NY socialite, journalist, and novice artist can be known on her behalf decade-and-a-half relationship to CIA official Wire Meyer. After their studies at Vassar University, she had written for both Mademoiselle journal as well as the United Press. Tragically, in past due 1964, she became a sufferer of homicide. A half-century after her loss of life, her murder continued to be unsolved. She and her sister, Antoinette, had been the kids of journalist Ruth Pickerling Pinchot and prominent lawyer and left-wing politician Amos Pinchot. Her relationship to Wire Meyer led to sons called Quentin, Michael, and Tag. In this year’s 2009 film An American Affair, celebrity Gretchen Mol takes on a character influenced by Pinchot Meyer.
