Mary Ethel Barnard

American poet, translator, and biographer known on her behalf translations of functions by the ANCIENT GREEK LANGUAGE poet Sappho. Barnard’s additional works consist of Mythmakers and a verse memoir entitled Nantucket Genesis: The Story of My Tribe. She was raised in Washington condition and graduated from Oregon’s Reed University. She released her debut function, SEVERAL Poems, in 1952. She received the Traditional western States Book Honor for Time as well as the White colored Tigress, a function released in 1986. Her dad was a Vancouver-based logger. She was mentored by Ezra Pound.
