Martin Mendez

Uruguayan bassist most widely known for his are area of the acclaimed intensifying death metal music group Opeth. He’s known to followers for his stoic demeanor and windmill-style headbanging during live shows. He became a member of Opeth soon after the documenting from the band’s third recording, 1998’s My Hands, Your Hearse. He generally uses fretless Fender jazz basses and began playing in drop D tuning through the composing of Opeth’s 2005 recording Ghost Reveries. His child Noak was created in June 2008. He continues to be bandmates with Opeth vocalist and guitarist Mikael Akerfeldt.
