Martial Solal

Musician, jazz musician, and composer who all scored Jean-Luc Godard’s debut film À bout de souffle or Breathless from 1960. His 1963 functionality on the Rhode Isle Newport Jazz Celebration was so well-known that it led to Newport ’63, a studio room recreation from the functionality. He composed and recorded traditional arrangements and functions for most 12-piece bands furthermore to composing film ratings. His mom sang opera and was instrumental in presenting him to music. He was generally self-taught aside from his mother’s impact. He collaborated with Django Reinhardt and Sidney Bechet.
