Biography

Following her services as District Attorney of Middlesex County, Coakley was elected Attorney Total of Massachusetts. After completing her undergraduate education at Williams University, she received her rules level from Boston College or university and subsequently proved helpful for the Boston-based lawyers Goodwin Procter and Parker, Coulter, Daley & White. In the past due 1990s, she was among the business lead prosecutors in the trial of United kingdom nanny Louise Woodward for the wrongful loss of life of Matthew Eappen, the Massachusetts-born baby who was simply in her treatment. She was raised in North Adams, Massachusetts, as the girl of Phyllis and Edward Coakley. She afterwards resolved in Medford, Massachusetts, with her hubby Thomas O’Connor. She dropped the 2010 particular U.S. Senate election (to displace the lately deceased Ted Kennedy) to Republican applicant Scott Brown.
