Famous 20th-century sculptor who crafted open public fountains and memorials. He graduated through the Cleveland College of Artwork and continued to review in Sweden, Germany, France, and Italy. His most well-known functions included “THE PERSON and the Growing Universe Fountain” that stands before the STATE DEPT. building in Washington, D.C., as well as the Cleveland Battle Memorial Fountain. He was created in Rock Isle, Illinois, and afterwards relocated along with his family members to Cleveland, Ohio. He and Alice Aycock had been both well-known American sculptors from the 20th century.
