Mark Harris

American novelist, biographer, and teacher who wrote Bang the Drum Slowly (1956), in regards to a baseball season using the fictional NY Mammoths. His various other works are the racially-themed Trumpet towards the Globe (1946) as well as the 1953 book, The Southpaw.
