Mark Doty

Award-winning author and poet known for My Alexandria and additional AIDS-epidemic-themed works. He was the 2008 receiver of the Country wide Book Honor for Poetry. He went to Drake College or university and Goddard University. He released his debut poetry collection — Turtle, Swan — in 1987. He trained at many colleges, including Princeton, Columbia, and NY College or university. His long-term partner, Wally Roberts, passed away of Supports 1994. After Roberts’ loss of life, Doty continued to marry Paul Lisicky, whom he divorced in 2013. He was influenced by the task of William Carlos Williams.
