Marjatta Kajosmaa

Finnish cross-country skier who earned 4 Olympic medals in the 1970s on the 1972 Sapporo and 1976 Innsbruck online games. She gained her initial International medals on the Globe Championships in 1970, going for a sterling silver and a bronze. She received the Holmenkollen medal for top level Norwegian skier in 1971, getting the initial Finnish females to ever earn the prize. She grew up as an just kid in Vehkalahti, Finland. She competed in the 1976 Olympics where American body skater Dorothy Hamill gained a silver medal.
