#Fact
1 Coming from a gospel family, Mario started playing the piano in childhood. Met Janel Bennett in 1997 through a mutual friend, Sean "Diddy" Combs when Janel worked as Combs's Sean Jean fashion consultant. Was engaged to her for eight years and they have a son, Jordan, who was born in 2004. He also has a daughter named Skylar with his girlfriend Joy.
2 His song "I Don't Wanna Know" is based on a sample of success "Ready Or Not" by The Fugees 1996, based on changes in the instrumental theme "Boadicea" by Enya 1987. Enya and their representatives are upset because Winans didn't seek approval for the sample as it was unaware that the sample of Fugees had already been used, so we reached a compromise with Enya in the credits for the song appears "Mario Winans feat. P. Diddy and Enya". And his song "Never Really Was", used a sample of success "Papa Don't Preach" Madonna of 1986.
3 Son of Vickie Winans. Nephew of BeBe Winans and CeCe Winans.
