Italian-American novelist and screenwriter whose Mafia novel, The Godfather, was modified into Francis Ford Coppola’s famous film trilogy. He also published the screenplays for the Superman films, aswell as novels entitled Fools Die as well as the Dark Industry. He was significantly affected by Russian novelist Fyodor Dostoyevsky, using estimates from Dostoyevsky’s The Brothers Karamazov and additional functions in multiple magazines including The 4th K, The Family members and The Dark Industry. He was raised in NY City’s Hell’s Kitchen community. In 1921, he wedded Erika Puzo, with whom he continued to possess three sons and two daughters.
