Maria Muldaur

Folk and blues vocalist whose tune “Midnight on the Oasis” sold an incredible number of copies in 1974. She’s been nominated for honors like Grammy Honours in the Blues Category. She began in the Also Dozen Jug Music group. She sang back-up vocals for the Jerry Garcia music group in the 1970s. She wedded Geoff Muldaur in 1964; they got divorced in 1972. Among her first strikes was a cover of the tune by Peggy Lee known as “I’m a female.”
