Marcel Khalife

French-Lebanese composer, vocalist, and Oud participant known for his instrumental functions. He was well-known for such tunes as “My Mom,” “Rita as well as the Rifle,” and “Passport,” that was inspired from the poetry of Mahmoud Darwish. He trained in the conservatory in Beirut from 1970 until 1975. He produced the Al Mayadeen Outfit in 1976, which resulted in international achievement and popularity. He was granted the Palestine Honor for Music in 1999. He wedded Yolla Khalife, a vocalist and songwriter. He and Ibrahim Maalouf had been both popular Lebanese composers.
