United kingdom television actress who played out Blanche Hunt in 566 episodes of the favorite soap opera, Coronation Street. She qualified at the popular Royal Academy of Dramatic Artwork (RADA) and produced her London stage debut through the 1950s. She made an appearance for just two years as Polly Barraclough in the tv screen series, Sam. She was wedded to John Oliver Stansfield from 1971 until his loss of life in 1999. After a personal injury her wellness started to deteriorate. She performed mom of celebrity Anne Kirkbride’s personality, Deidre Hunt, in Coronation Road. Jones made an appearance on the favorite display for four years.

4"Deirdre Hunt" (Anne Kirkbride) first appeared on Coronation Street (1960) in 1972 and it was 2 years later that the writers decided to introduce her mother, Blanche, in the build up to her marriage to "Ray Langton" (Neville Buswell).Sadly, the actress chosen to play the part, Patricia Cutts, took her own life on 6 September 1974 and the part had to be hurriedly re-cast, and Maggie Jones got the role that she has since made so much her own.
