Louis Marshall

Notable being a founding person in the American Jewish Committee and a director from the Country wide Association for the Advancement of Shaded People, this civil legal rights attorney and activist can be remembered for representing convicted murderer Leo Frank within a USA Supreme Court appeal. After apprenticing with lawyer Nathaniel B. Smith, he researched briefly at Columbia College or university and began doing work for a Syracuse-based lawyer. A conservationist aswell as a lawyer and human privileges advocate, Marshall helped create the brand new York State University of Forestry. The kid of German-Jewish immigrants, he was raised in Syracuse, NY. His relationship to Florence Lowenstein led to children named Adam, Ruth, Bob, and George. His child, Bob Marshall, experienced a prominent profession like a conservationist and writer.
