Louis Berry

American attorney who was simply the 1st African-American to become permitted to apply law in Alexandria, Louisiana. He was the 1st African-American to apply legislation in Louisiana since A. P. Tureaud in 1927. He went to the Howard University or college School of Legislation in Washington, D.C. He was inducted in to the Louisiana Politics Museum and Hall of Popularity in 1996, 2 yrs before his loss of life. He was created in Alexandria, Lousiana, but later on resided in Lafayette. He helped sign-up African Americans to vote after Chief executive Lyndon B. Johnson exceeded the Voting Privileges Take action of 1965.
