Lonnie Donegan

Scottish-born singer and songwriter whose a lot more than 20 United Kingdom Best 30 hits include “Cumberland Gap,” “Gamblin’ Man,” and “My Older Man’s a Dustman.” His music spanned the folk, jazz, and pop genres. Early in his musical profession, he used Chris Barber’s traditional jazz music group. Within the years prior to the Beatles’ rise to rock-and-roll stardom, Donegan was regarded as the United Kingdom’s most important vocalist and songwriter. His three relationships — to Maureen Tyler, Jill Westlake, and Sharon Donegan — created a complete of three daughters and four sons. He performed on the Van Morrison recording entitled The Skiffle Classes – Reside in Belfast 1998.
