Pop singer who scored a #1 strike in 1962 using the vintage track “The Loco-Motion” She worked like a maid and babysitter before conference her future maker, Gerry Goffin. She also charted the singles “He strike Me (It Thought Just like a Kiss)” and “Let’s Turkey Trot.” She experienced a daughter called Dorothea. Her track “He Strike Me (It Thought JUST LIKE A Kiss)” was organized by Phil Spector.

1Got her "start" in the music business as the housekeeper for songwriter Carole King. She would sing as she worked in King's apartment, and King was impressed with her voice. King brought her to producer Don Kirshner at Dimension Records, who auditioned her and then commissioned King to write a song for her. The result was the #1 hit "The Loco-Motion".
