Lionel Chetwynd

Biography

Award-nominated screenwriter best for 2001’s Varian’s Battle. He was a poor child and troublemaker developing up, and was enlisted in the Canadian military to instill self-discipline. His film, The Apprenticeship of Duddy Kravitz, received an Oscar nomination for Greatest Modified Screenplay in 1977. He grew up in Hackney, London. He continues to be good friends with celebrity/humanitarian Marlo Thomas for a long time.
