Known for his 41-season piano-duet cooperation with Frank Hutchens. For 30 years he was ABC Radio’s Mr Melody Guy. He had written film ratings for Charles Chauvel’s ’40 Thousands of Horsemen’ in 1940, and Ken G. Hall’s ‘High Timbers’ in 1937. He was an accompanist for flautist John Lemmoné and opera vocalist Dame Nellie Melba, the last mentioned collaboration from 1922 and carrying on until her loss of life. He was a long-standing member and finally president from the arts-oriented Sydney Savage Membership. His British parents prompted his musical advancement, and he was functioning as an organist and chorister by enough time he was 17. He caused Isador Goodman at the brand new South Wales Conservatorium of Music. They both passed away on a single day.
