The daughter from the Pulitzer Prize-winning poet Anne Sexton, she published several acclaimed works, including Looking for Mercy Road: My Journey Back again to My Mom, Anne Sexton (1994 memoir) and Rituals (1983, fiction). She examined books at Harvard School. She released her first nonfiction function, Between Two Worlds: Teen Women in Turmoil, in 1979. Her book, Factors of Light, was translated into thirteen dialects and adapted right into a CBS tv special.
