Len Deighton

A military historian, image artist, cookbook author and fiction writer, he’s most widely known for his spy novel, The IPCRESS Document (1962), that was afterwards adapted right into a film. His various other published works consist of Declarations of Battle (1971), Twinkle, Twinkle, Small Spy (1976), and Simple French Cooking food (1979). He created a pastime in spy tales after witnessing the arrest of Nazi spy, Anna Wolcoff, when he was eleven years of age. In his early adulthood, he proved helpful for the Particular Investigation Branch from the Royal Surroundings Force. He made the first British isles cover for Jack port Kerouac’s famous book, On the highway. He was created in London to a mechanic and chauffeur dad and a prepare mom. He graduated in the Royal University of Artwork in 1955. His book, The IPCRESS Document, was converted to a film starring Michael Caine.
