Pitcher most widely remembered for his participation in the infamous 1919 “Dark Sox” game-fixing scandal. He and seven additional members from the 1919 White colored Sox were prohibited from baseball forever for their participation in the scandal. He was created in Aurora, Missouri and produced his MLB debut using the Detroit Tigers in Sept 1913. He was performed by acting professional James Go through in the 1988 film Eight Males Out, which dramatizes the ‘Dark Sox’ scandal. He wedded manicurist Lyria Wilson in 1916. White colored Sox 1st baseman Chick Gandil provided him $10,000 to intentionally shed his begins in the 1919 Globe Series.
