Lawrence Hargrave

English-born aeronautical engineer, inventor, astronomer, and explorer from the past due 19th and early 20th centuries. His best-known innovations include the package kite as well as the rotary engine. He apprenticed at Australia’s Australasian Vapor Navigation Organization and later worked well as an associate astronomer in the Sydney Observatory. Australia’s Qantas flight named among its plane in Hargrave’s honor. He was raised in both Britain and Australia. His dad, John Fletcher Hargrave, kept office as Lawyer General of New South Wales, Australia. His function influenced fellow inventor Alexander Graham Bell to test out styles for tetrahedral kites.
