Laurence Powell

Former officer known to be one of 4 LAPD officials who participated in the beating of Rodney King in March 1991. His acquittal on assault fees ultimately resulted in the 1992 LA riots. He was created in LA and graduated from Crescenta Valley SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL. His using the expression “gorillas in the mist” before the King defeating is becoming infamous in well-known lifestyle and was referenced in the Da Lench Mob tune “Guerrillas in the Mist.” He continues to be married and provides kids. He was mixed up in defeating of Rodney Ruler, who experienced a fractured skull.
