Laurel Halo

American producer that has produced a name for herself in the wonderful world of digital music through her releases around the Hyperdub label, including 2012’s Quarantine and 2013’s Potential for Rainfall. Quarantine was called Album of the entire year by The Cable magazine. She was raised in Ann Arbor, Michigan and started acquiring piano lessons at age group six. Her desire for digital music was piqued after going to the Movement event at age group sixteen. She collaborated with imaginary Japanese pop celebrity Hatsune Miku around the soundtrack for the live artwork piece Still B Right here. Her father performed harmonica inside a blues-rock music group through the 1970’s. She worked well alongside performers like Julia Holter on 2015’s Terepa EP.
