Biography

Star from the Broadway revivals of Grease, Anything Runs, and South Pacific. On her behalf starring function in Bonnie and Clyde, she received a Tony Prize nomination. In 2017, she started starring in the initial Broadway musical Bandstand.? In second quality, she performed the role of the munchkin within a production from the Wizard of Oz. She was a competition on the truth present Grease: You’re one that I’D LIKE! She wedded Nathan Johnson on, may 11, 2007. She performed a tribute to vocalist Barbara Cook on the 2011 Kennedy Middle Honors.

1 Laura Osnes currently plays Cinderella in Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella and originated the role in it's first-ever Broadway production. [October 2013]
2 Plays the co-title role in the La Jolla Playhouse's musical production of "Bonnie & Clyde." [December 2009]
3 On March 10, 2009 Osnes took over the role of Ensign Nellie Forbush (female lead role) from Tony Award nominee Kelli O'Hara, who went on maternity leave, in the Lincoln Center Theater revival of South Pacific. She stayed with the show till October 4, 2009, then returned on January 5, 2010. She will play her final performance by August 8, 2010, when O'Hara will return to the show. (PS Saw the show last night. I can see why it is considered one of the greatest American musicals and she is amazing in the female lead role.) [July 2010]
4 Laura and fiancé, Nathan Johnson, put their planned March 2007 wedding on hold for her to compete in "Grease - You're the One That We Want". During the finale, it was announced that they would be getting married on May 11, 2007 before moving together to New York for Laura to star on Broadway.
5 In March 2007, Laura won the reality competition "Grease-You're the One That We Want" and will be starring as Sandy on Broadway along with fellow competitor, Max Crumm, who won the role of Danny.
