Larry Murphy

Hall of Popularity defenseman who played for six NHL groups in his 21-year-career. He was a four-time Stanley Glass Champ and three-time NHL All-Star. He was drafted 4th overall with the L.A. Kings in 1980 and established NHL records for some points and helps by a first year defenseman. He proceeded to go from getting the scapegoat on the failing group, the Toronto Maple Leafs, to starring within a Stanley Cup-winning one, the Detroit Crimson Wings, through the 1996-97 period. He was raised in Scarborough, Ontario Province, Canada. He wedded Nancy Murphy. He gained two Stanley Mugs alongside fellow defenseman Nicklas Lidstrom in the Detroit Crimson Wings.
