Larry Levis

American poet, author, critic, and professor whose literary works are the Afterlife as well as the Dollmaker’s Ghost. His 1972 debut collection, Wrecking Staff, received the International Poetry Forum’s U.S. Prize. He received graduate levels from Syracuse College or university and the College or university of Iowa. He trained British at Virginia Commonwealth College or university from 1992 until his loss of life (four years afterwards) from a coronary attack. He was raised in California’s San Joaquin Valley as the boy of the grape harvester. He respected the task of Randall Jarrell.
