Architect and painter from the 1920s avant-garde period; probably unfairly from the Constructivists since his strategy was heavily indie of a particular style. He researched on the Moscow College of Painting, Sculpture and Structures in 1904, where he’d stay for 12 years through General Education, Arts, and Structures. He was mentored in structures by Teacher Ivan Zholtovsky. He give up architecture after just a decade in the field, learning to be a family portrait painter and instructor because he was steadfastly against Stalinist structures. He was the 4th child delivered to street maintenance foreman Stepan Illarionovich Melnikov. He wedded Anna Yablovkova in 1912 and got two kids. He and United kingdom musician Thomas Gainsborough both became well-known family portrait painters.
