Acclaimed musician whose teaching career influenced many significant Russian pianists, including Natalia Satina, Sergei Rachmaninoff’s wife. He was students on the Moscow Conservatory where he researched with famous pianists Alexander Siloti and Pavel Pabst. He was appointed a teacher on the Moscow Conservatory in 1899, where he continued to be for the others of his profession. His talents had been acknowledged by his family members while he was still a guy, and he started studies using the revered instructor of Rachmaninoff, Nikolai Zverev. He was honored using the Purchase of Lenin, the Soviet Union’s highest decor, which was called after Vladimir Ilyich Lenin.
