Kizza Besigye

Ugandan politician, doctor, and retired colonel known to be the main opposition to leader Yoweri Museveni. He unsuccessfully went against him in the 2001, 2006, 2011, and 2016 elections, which have already been surrounded by controversy. He went to Makerere College or university, where he researched medicine. He continued to are Museveni’s doctor and was appointed as minister of inner affairs when Museveni got power in 1986. He’s also become known for his position against Uganda’s notoriously severe fines for homosexuality, which can be illegal in the united states. He wedded Winnie Byanyima in 1988 and got a boy with her. Yoweri Museveni got power after leading the Country wide Resistance Army within a military coup.
